the internet exploded in rage, and rightfully so. however, i wish it would explode just as much as when paul ryan said, like, anything.

everyone takes an enormous shit when santorum says anything about contraception, but none of you seem to notice when actual congressmen are voting on coercive budget plans that threaten to eliminate many lifelines for under privileged, and disenfranchised people who need them.

i know that social media has become an excellent vehicle for lgbt and feminist blogging and awareness raising, and i’d like to see the same being done for economic reform, healthcare, foreign policy, domestic defense policy, budget planning, etc…

i just don’t see any young people getting pissed off at nearly enough stuff. continue being pissed off about gay marriage, and anti women culture, but also be pissed off about state sponsored, coercive juggernauts that control the nation. that single payer health care isn’t mentioned in the political arena. ever. or even rejoice that the supreme court threw out a human genome patent. like. that’s a big deal, and i won’t see it on tumblr at all.
